New Topic...


Our new topic this half term is:

Myths and Legends of Ancient Greece

In Art we will be looking at and studying the pottery of Ancient Greece.
In Design and Technology we will be designing a Greek Menu of foods and will be creating a healthy pitta bread.
In Geography we will be looking at the places and features of Greece.
In History we will be looking at the life and culture of Ancient Greece.
In ICT we will be researching information on Greek Gods and Goddesses. We will be looking at different myths and legends from Greece.
In Music we will be creating a class orchestra and use instruments to produce a piece of music that tells a mythical story.

  4. Ancient Greece is the civilization belonging to the period of Greek history lasting from the Archaic period of the 8th to 6th centuries BC to 146 BC and the Roman conquest of Greece after the Battle of Corinth.

  5. God of the sea, rivers, floods, droughts, earthquakes and horses; known as the "Earth Shaker" or "Storm Bringer". He is a son of Cronus and Rhea and brother to Zeus and Hades. In classical artwork he was depicted as a mature man of sturdy build with a dark beard, and holding a trident. The horse and the dolphin are sacred to him.
